A couple of months ago we decided to cancel our TV- shocking, I know! TBH, our cable was probably one of our highest bills and it was the one thing we used the least which didn’t make a lot of sense. Between streaming services like Crave and Netflix, watching TV wasn’t really on our radar and would only be on for background noise most of the time. Since saying goodbye to cable we haven’t missed it at all and are loving the commercial free life!
We still love to wind down with a show and lately we’ve found some gems and thought I would share some of them with you! I’m always on the hunt for something new so if you have any good suggestions of your own let me know!

First We Feast- Hot Ones | I am SO late to the game on this show- I think it’s been running for a few years now but it’s so entertaining! Basically it’s a show that features celebrities eating chicken wings (that progressively get hotter) while having to answer hard hitting questions. Adam Devine and Chrissy Tiegen’s episode were pretty funny if you want a good starting point!
Bailey Sarian- Murder Mystery & Makeup Mondays | I found Bailey’s channel a few months ago and I’m obsessed with her Murder, Mystery, & Makeup Mondays! If you love true crime and makeup this is definitely one to watch.
Mixed Makeup | This channel has completely changed my skincare routine! Being pregnant really kicked my skins butt and the videos on this channel helped me get it back on track. Susan Yara is the skincare queen and really knows her stuff! I’ve learned so much from watching her critique celebrities skincare routines (AKA learned I’ve been doing it all wrong!).
Julia & Hunter Havens| I recently started watching their channel and am obsessed! I love Julia’s style and their home is major goals. Their channel is basically my go-to these days whenever I need a little inspo!
CRAVE
Chernobyl | This series was actually insane! I’ve obviously heard of Chernobyl but didn’t know all of the details until watching this show. It was not only so well done but the whole incident is still mind blowing to me. I probably spent an entire day just researching Chernobyl and all I can say is- wow.
Silicone Valley | We needed something light and fun after watching Chernobyl and this show was it! I know this one has been out for a while but it’s a fun pick me up to throw into the mix if you’re watching something heavy.
Divorce | I started this show on a whim and ended up bingeing the entire series! It’s one of those slice of life shows about a couple going through a divorce and all the ups and downs that go with it. It’s a good series but lets be real, I’ll watch anything with Sarah Jessica Parker in it- I miss Sex and the City!
NETFLIX
Working Moms | The fact that this show is Canadian and produced by females is so dope! I started this show when Olson was born and it was laugh out loud relatable. You definitely don’t have to have kids to watch it though, it’s funny whether you’re a mama or not so just go watch it and thank me later.
Easy | This show was a little slow in the beginning but it picked up after the first few episodes! It’s set in Chicago and follows several individuals as they navigate through love, life, and relationships. I like that every episode is different and as the series progresses you start to see certain characters lives intertwine.
When They See Us | Not going to lie, I cried through this entire series. I won’t go into too much detail but it’s a true story about five boys who were wrongfully convicted of a crime. The discrimination and injustice these boys faced is seriously heartbreaking but a story I think we should all be aware of.
I love being comfy whenever we go to the movies but I still like to keep it cute! A pair of high waisted shorts paired with a blazer is the perfect combo of cute and casual IMO. Lately, I’ve been finding the cutest oversized blazers from Le Château and my favourite way to dress them down is with a pair of sneakers!
