5 Edmonton Eateries To Try This Summer

Today on the blog I’m sharing 5 Edmonton eateries (and one bake shop) that you NEED to try out this summer. Keep reading to find out what they are…

A couple weeks ago while on the hunt for locations to shoot blog photos we stumbled across The Workshop Eatery! Living in the southside I was surprised I hadn’t heard of this spot before and after looking at the menu everything looked beyond delish! With the idea of Workshop being seasonal fare, everything is locally sourced and made in house…even down to the ketchup. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to grab a bit but it’s definitely a spot I look forward to trying out in the near future. Is this week too soon??

Anyways, being in the restaurant inspired me to share some of the spots I have been loving these days that I thought you guys should know about!

1.Huma Mexico

This restaurant is new to the scene and the bright decor that can be spotted while driving by is initially what caught my attention. Huma definitely didn’t disappoint in the taco and enchilada arena but what’s really interesting about the eatery is their ever changing dinner menu! If you’re not one for surprises be sure to check out their Facebook page before going in or you can live on the edge and go in blind!

2.Narayanni’s

If you love Indian food as much as I do this is definitely the go to spot in YEG! Narayanni’s is actually South African Indian cuisine which might sound intimidating but the flavours are so worth it. We always head to the buffet so we can taste a bit of everything and always make sure to order extra Roti. My favourites are the carrot ginger soup, african couscous salad, and Chicken Biryani. And you can’t leave without trying the Pistachio Chai at the end of the meal…seriously, you need to try it!

3.Confetti Sweets

If you live in Sherwood Park then it’s no surprise that Confetti Sweets is on my list. This might not be a restaurant but this bake shop is too yummy not to feature! You can’t walk into Confetti Sweets without leaving with a handful of cookies, it’s literally impossible. Their baked goods make for awesome gifts and party favours, just make sure to include the peanut butter choco-chunk as it’s a personal fave of mine 😉

4.Thai Together

Yet another Sherwood Park gem, what a surprise! But again, their food is just too good not to include. My best friend and I are regulars there which is just a testament to how much I love this place. Thai food is a personal favourite of mine and something I could probably eat everyday if I had too. Every time we go in our order is different just because there are so many great options to choose from. My go to’s though are the shrimp rolls, basil beef, pad sew, cashew nut chicken, and the red curry…just to name a few.

5.Canteen

We visited canteen over a year ago and to this day Josh still says it was one of his all time favourite meals. And you know when a guy makes a statement like that, he’s not messing around! Whether you’re there for brunch, lunch, or dinner this restaurant is just Good (with a capital G). You can’t go their without trying their corn fritters and stuffed dates because they’re delicious. And if you’re there for brunch you have to try their chicken and waffles…ok, I’m hungry now.
