Pizza Party

With my wedding less than two weeks away I have been in need of a fun and relaxing night in! There are so many different ways I like to relax but what better way to take my mind off the wedding craziness than with my girlfriends, a bottle of wine, and of course pizza! I don’t know what it is about pizza but it just seems to make everything better.

I don’t really discriminate when it comes to pizza but my favourite type to snack on is thin crust pizza. So when Dr. Oetker announced their new Ultra Thin Crust with new flavours I jumped at the chance to try and hosted a #DrOPizzaParty with my favourite ladies! With options like Capicollo and Roasted Chicken and Peppers it was hard to settle on just one so instead I picked three; Spinach and Provolone, Roasted Vegetable and Goat Cheese, and my personal favourite Roasted Mushroom and Garlic! What I love about this pizza is how you can really taste the quality in the toppings that give it that real taste of Italy.

Whenever I’m hosting a girls night I like to have some fun with the decor while keeping things casual with a ‘help yourself’ kind of atmosphere because let’s be real, I usually like to grab 3rds especially when it comes to extra crispy and thin crust pizza! Whenever I’m having a #DrOPizzaParty I like to get some fun napkins, throw the cutlery in some mason jar mugs, and serve the pizza on different trays to give the table some interest.

In my opinion, pizza is always best served with a bottle of wine and after some in depth research when it comes to the Mushroom and Garlic pizza a nice Chardonnay pairs perfectly with the earthiness of the mushrooms. I’m more of a white wine type of girl but if you’re into the reds a Rosé would also work really well. For my veggie lovers out there a crisp Sauvignon Blanc is best and if you’re a fellow meat lover then I’d go with a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Zinfandel!

We had so much fun on our girls night and I think it’s safe to say that there were no leftovers, oops! But with Dr. Oetker’s delicious toppings and crispy crust can you really blame us!?
