If you’re an instagram junkie like me then you understand the importance of capturing that “perfect” shot to post on your meticulously curated feed. I’m always looking for that next great capture and have found that travelling always helps me stay creative and get inspired! Now travelling doesn’t mean you have to hop on a plane and fly across the world; I’ve found that travelling can be as easy as stepping outside and exploring your own city.
I’m always on the hunt for a new “instagrammable” spot which is why Expedia asked me to share a few picturesque places in Edmonton that I’ve gone to lately and probably took one too many photos at- oops! From delicious cafe’s to a doughnut party I’ve got your instagram needs covered…
Chatime
If you’re ever talking to someone about Chatime their response is always “Oh, that place with the cute decor?!”. Always. So if bubble tea and amazing interiors is your thing then this place is for you! I’ve only been there once but it was love at first sight. With the combination of chandeliers and chairs with adorable bunny ears it really is instagram gold.
Doughnut Party
One of the newer additions to YEG, Doughnut Party is well…a party! I recently had the chance to stop in with a girlfriend and loved the minimal decor but more importantly the yummy donuts! What makes this place so instagram worthy is how amazing their donuts look and it seems like a lot of people would agree with me as they sell out fast so be sure to get in quick!
Café Linnea
Once you’ve had your donut fill definitely head over to Café Linnea, which is in the same complex, for breakfast, lunch, or a caffeine boost. Offering Scandinavian and French delights, Linnea is definitely a sight for sore eyes with mid century modern decor and greenery sprinkled throughout the place. If you ever stop in make sure you’re camera battery is fully charged for photos and try their chai latte. It’s bomb!
La Boule
If only I lived closer I would shamelessly visit La boule on the daily for their instagram worthy treats, marble counter tops, and great lighting! From flatlays to coffee and clothes pictures, this place has so many photo ops. And incase you haven’t noticed already, I’ve shared a handful of shots on my instagram from this cozy spot.
